Mother's Day

Usually I don't get any attention on Mother's Day....why? Because I have boys, that have wives that have mothers. Not that that really bothers me, I totally get it. This is not to say that I am ignored, I am not saying that. There is always the usual homemade cards, and flowers. Love the flowers and cards.  However, this year I was in for a big surprise! Yup!

 

I knew that Gene was speaking on Mother's Day in his ward, and Sterling and I planned to attend. When I got up though, Sterling told me not to eat breakfast because the boys had planned a surprise breakfast for me after Sacrament meeting. Kimmie had made Creme Brulee french toast, Montez and provided a breakfast casserole, and fruit salad and Marc had brought milk and OJ. You will notice that the wives did the cooking for their mother-in-law breakfast, not the boys.  It was totally wonderful and fabulous. I loved just spending lounging around time with them. Since most of us weren't finished with our meetings, we didn't linger a long time. It was up and off to the duties that called. 

Then, that evening Sterling and I went out to Linell's for dinner at her place for their mom. The kids showed up later for dessert. A very lovely day with family.
