Crinkles
½ cup butter, softened
1 ½ cups sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
4 (1-oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted and slightly cooled
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
Cream butter and sugar in large bowl of an electric mixer until well combined. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla and chocolate. Stir in remaining ingredients.
Refrigerate dough for at least 4 hours’ roll into balls and coat in ¾ cup powdered sugar before baking.
Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly spray baking sheets with nonstick cooking spray. Bake for 19 to 12 minutes or until cookies spring back when lightly touched.
Makes 3 dozen cookies.
